Sony Xperia Z is now getting Android 4.4.4 update

Sony has begun seeding the Android 4.4.4 KitKat based firmware update to Sony Xperia Z. It is available in France, but it should soon roll out to all Xperia Z units worldwide.
Sony Xperia Z has been running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat since May. Sony has decided to skip the 4.4.3 version and went straight for the latest 4.4.4 KitKat revision. Of course, it incorporates all bug fixes Google has come up for both versions.
The new update is available over the air and the notification should pop up on your Xperia Z very soon. The Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z should be getting the same update any moment now, too.
